Connie was born at Yuendumu via Alice Springs. She now resides in Kununurra, East Kimberley, with frequent visits back to her home country.
She is a prolific painter with a most distinctive style – Connie’s immediate family include the best of the Walpiri painters, who are making a huge impression on the desert style art scene.
She is the niece of Michael Nelson Jagamara, who is one of Australia’s best known international artists – he was commissioned to execute the design for the breathtaking mural at the Sydney Opera House.
Her subject matter is wide, but focuses on food gathering and bush tucker, as with most desert art.
