Jedda Purvis Kngwarreye / Bush Flowers

Jedda is the daughter of senior elder Greeny Purvis Petyarre, eldest nephew of Emily Kame Kngwarreye. Her own career reaches back to the beginnings of Utopia art: she contributed to the 1988 Utopia: A Picture Story batik project, now in the Holmes à Court Collection, and her 1990 woodcut for the Utopia Suite is held by the Art Gallery of South Australia and QAGOMA.

Her paintings focus on Kame, the Yam Seed Dreaming, and Atnwelarr, the pencil yam of Alhalkere Country, suggesting the spread of vines, roots and seeds through radiating forms and dense dotting. More recently she shared family knowledge with the National Gallery of Australia's Emily Kam Kngwarray project, and in 2025 she exhibited in We Call it Urapuntja at JGM Gallery in London.
