The concentric circles represent waterholes scattered throughout the desert landscape, while the flowing lines symbolise the pathways and journeys taken by both people and animals across Country. The starburst motifs represent Spinifex grass, one of the most recognisable plants of the Central Desert, and the smaller roundels depict the colourful wildflowers that emerge across the landscape following seasonal rains.
