Samantha Daniels Napaltjarri / Country

Samantha Daniels Napaltjarri is a Luritja artist whose practice developed within a strong family painting tradition. She works alongside her mother and her grandmother, acclaimed artist Linda Syddick, learning through shared studio time and close observation. Since beginning to paint in 2005, Samantha has used her art to celebrate and communicate her culture while establishing an identity of her own.

Alongside painting, Samantha has completed a university degree and contributes to her community through social work and office responsibilities. Her artworks have been presented through Maruku Arts at Yulara and through galleries around Australia, where they have attracted a growing audience. This combination of cultural commitment, education and community service gives her creative career a distinctive foundation.
