With the use of Aboriginal Symbols and figures Tommy has painted a men’s ceremonial scene. In this instance, Ceremony takes place prior to the senior men taking the initiated boys hunting. The roundels depict the waterholes where the animals are generally found. You can see the outline of a kangaroo, goanna and emu. These ceremonies are performed to this day and the animals are still a traditional food source for Aboriginal people in Central Australia.
