This is one of my very favourite places on Texas Downs – it’s not too far from where I live at Warmun, so I can take my children there for swimming, just like my parents and my Kangayi (grandmother Betty Carrington) used to take me and my brother and sister when we were little. It’s safe swimming here – Station Creek runs down from Doomerinjii country – it curls its way down to the deepest waterholes. Dad (the late Churchill Cann) said he had to take the nanny goats there for a drink when he was little on Texas.
