Gracie is a well established third generation artist from the Kintore Region of Central Australia. She is part of the famous Nungurrayi family of women painters, including Naata Nungurrayi, one of the most highly regarded Senior Desert artists. She paints the Women’s Dreamings of Travels, Sacred Sites, her Desert Country and Tali (sandhills) in her harsh desert homelands.

Beautiful imaging and a traditional Women’s design incorporating sacred sites, women’s body paint motifs which were painted in ochre on the top half of the women and young girls’ bodies for Ceremony and young girls’ initiation. These customs are still carried on today, and form the basis of the enduring culture of the Aboriginal people.
