How Artworks Are Sent

Ochre / Kimberley artworks are shipped on canvas or linen, already stretched, ready to hang unless stated otherwise.

Acrylic artworks are shipped on canvas or linen un-stretched, rolled up in a cardboard tube unless stated otherwise.

These artworks will need to be stretched on a stretcher board before hanging.

This can be done by nearly any picture framer (highly recommended) or you can DIY if you’re confident in your handiwork.

There are numerous "how to" videos on YouTube showing you how to achieve this.

Artist Profile

Kenneth was born in Wyndham, Western Australia to Indigenous parents Kenneth Bin Jacob Sr (Bardi Tribe) and Helen O’Malley (Jaru Tribe).

Kenneth schooled in Derby WA before moving back to the East Kimberley working in the pastoral industry then onto working for the Department of Agriculture and Food (WA’s Quarantine Services division) where he has been for the last 18 years.

Kenneth is a family man, married with four children. He is also a proud Jaru tribe (East Kimberley) and Bardi (West Kimberley) man. His family have a deep heritage in the Kimberley, his mother’s family have roots in the pastoral industry of the East Kimberley and his father’s side in the pearling industry of Broome, West Kimberley.

Kenneth has been passionate about art from an early age. Some of his interests are carving, drawing, painting and sculpting. He blends both his West and East Kimberley tribal heritage into his work sourcing inspiration from his people’s stories, plants, animals and the natural beauty of the region.
