Gallery Director & Owner, Artlandish Aboriginal Art Gallery, Kununurra

Kirstie Linklater is the Gallery Director & Owner of Artlandish Aboriginal Art Gallery in Kununurra, Western Australia, in the heart of the East Kimberley. She has worked in the Indigenous art market since 2005 and has built her reputation on two decades of direct relationships with artists, art centres, dealers, and galleries across multiple regions.

The depth and continuity of those relationships is uncommon in the industry. Kirstie has direct experience across all major regional traditions of Australian Aboriginal art, including the East Kimberley, the Western Desert, Utopia, the West Kimberley, Arnhem Land, and the Tiwi Islands.

She has worked with senior artists including Lily Karadada, the late Freddie Timms, Shirley Purdie, and Churchill Cann, and has been instrumental in supporting emerging artists establishing themselves in the industry, including April Nulgit, Davinder Hart, Melanie Hava, and Kurun Warun.

Across twenty years on the gallery floor, Kirstie has helped thousands of collectors find exactly what they are looking for, from first-time buyers acquiring their first piece to seasoned collectors building substantial holdings. Her particular strength is understanding what a buyer actually wants, often before they can fully articulate it themselves. A number of major international collectors rely exclusively on her judgement when building their Indigenous art holdings.

Kirstie is a long-standing member of the Aboriginal Art Association of Australia (AAAA) and a recognised figure within the Australian Indigenous art industry.
