Ros Lechte

Social Media & Content Manager, Artlandish Aboriginal Art Gallery, Melbourne
Ros Lechte has been involved in the Indigenous art industry since 2015 and has played a major role in building Artlandish’s online presence.
She was responsible for growing some of the gallery’s most successful social media assets. At a time when Facebook was a dominant cultural platform, the Artlandish Facebook page was ranked among the top 40 pages in Australia for quality, engagement, and other performance criteria by an independent ratings app. Ros was responsible for achieving that result.
She also grew the gallery’s then-new Instagram account from zero to 30,000 high-quality, fully organic followers, with no paid fan/follower acquisition.
As the online face of the gallery, Ros has spoken with potential customers and Aboriginal art enthusiasts every day for many years. This sustained, direct engagement has given her an unusually strong understanding of what people are looking for, what they understand, and what they want to learn about Aboriginal art. That experience forms the foundation of the extensive collection of articles she has written, and continues to write, for the Artlandish Aboriginal Art Library.
Ros has also been instrumental in identifying and bringing on board some of the finest talent in Indigenous art, including artists who have gone on to sell thousands of artworks through the gallery. Her hands-on experience working with thousands of customers and dozens of artists is invaluable to Artlandish, and her writing draws directly from that knowledge.
